Acupuncture
Acupuncture is one of the key components of traditional oriental medicine which has been practiced in Korea, China and other Asian countries for thousands of years. It involves penetrating the skin with thin metallic needles at specific points on the body to encourage healing, relieve or prevent pain, or improve bodily functions.

Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine uses a variety of herbs to extract a liquid form of medicine. Because it uses herbs, it has much less risk of side effects than the western medicine. When ordered, the herbal medicine is brewed according to the length of the treatment. Typically, patients are recommended to drink each package of the extract after every meal.

Cupping
Cupping is a traditional therapy in which a local suction is created on the skin to mobilize blood flow in order to promote healing. Suction is done by creating a vacuum inside a round cup through heat, which then gently draws up the skin when attached to the body.

Acupressure
Acupressure is traditional healing method similar to massage, where the key body points are pressed with fingers to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. Acupressure releases tension, improves blood circulation and reduces pain. By relieving stress, acupressure promotes wellness and helps the patients to resist diseases.

Special Acupuncture
In addition the regular acupuncture treatments, Eastern Medical Center offers special kinds of acupuncture services. These include:
1. Magnetic acupuncture therapy for those who are not willing to have their skin punctured or those under special circumstances;
2. Fire acupuncture for the patients with severe conditions; and
3. Bee sting acupuncture for those with the arthritis-related disorders.
